Due to the fact that we as humans lack the enzyme enabling us to synthesise Vitamin C, we should supplement our skin with topical applications. Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is efficient at absorption into the dermal fibroblasts. Studies have shown that the intake of L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) into the skin after the application of Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is considerably higher than the application of L-Ascorbic Acid by itself (in-vitro). This is further boosted with the addition of Tetrahydropiperine.
